Xstream Expedition - Race Headquarters & Lodging:

Important! - It is highly recommended that you get a hotel room for this race for all nights of the event.
The entire town will be sold out for lodging this weekend. In the event you finish early or drop out of the race...if you don't have a hotel reservation you will be camping as there will not be any rooms available.

Reservations at Red Cliffs Lodge: A room block has been put aside for participants in the Xstream Expedition. Teams need to reserve their own rooms by calling Red Cliffs Lodge at 800-259-2002 and mention you are with the event to get the discounted rate. The Room Block will only be held until August 27th or until sold out. The lodge will be full this week so make your reservations early. The lodge is the event Headquarters, and the start and finish of the event. We recommend booking at least for Sunday night. Support Crews can also utilize the rooms during some nights of the race...please call us with any questions.

The Expedition race will be headquartered at Red Cliffs Adventure Lodge. Red Cliffs Lodge will be the location for racer check-in as well as the start and finish of the race. All teams/support crews are encouraged to stay at the lodge. Please note: Camping at the lodge is not permitted for either racers or support crews.

Accommodations: The interior of the rooms are knotty pine and muted stucco colors. Solid log furniture is featured throughout. Every room is a mini suite with a separate kitchenette that includes sink, coffee pot, refrigerator, microwave, large counter and four place dining table with chairs. The bathroom area is fully tiled with bathtub/shower combo.

Discounted lodging is available for athletes and support crews. Space is limited and is on a first come first served basis. Contact Red Cliffs Lodge and tell them you are a participant in the event to get the discounted rate.

Arriving on South Highway 191 driving North:

  • Drive through the city of Moab heading North on Highway 191 to the Colorado River bridge. (Approximately 1 mile North of Moab)
  • Before crossing the Colorado River bridge you turn right (east) onto scenic Highway 128 for 14 miles.
  • Red Cliffs Lodge is the second entrance on the left hand side of the road.
  • Mile Post 14 Highway 128

Arriving from the North on Highway 191 driving South:

  • As you come into the Moab Valley on Highway 191 driving South you will pass the entrance to Arches National Park.
  • Approximately 1.5 miles from Arches National Park entrance you will come to the Colorado River.
  • Cross the Colorado River bridge
  • After crossing the Colorado River bridge you turn left (east) onto scenic Highway 128 for 14 miles.
  • Red Cliffs Lodge is the second entrance on the left hand side of the road.
